2025 Standings

The 2025 Emerald Coast Open proved once again why it holds the title of largest lionfish tournament in the world. With record-breaking pre-tournament participation and some serious underwater hustle, this year’s event was nothing short of legendary. The pre-tournament alone shattered expectations—and records—with nearly 3,000 more lionfish removed than ever before. Divers enjoyed picture-perfect weather and beautiful Gulf waters, though there was an unexpected twist that kept a few teams preoccupied for most of the first day. (Let’s just say it was the kind of plot twist you’d find in a Sea Hunt episode.) The prizes flowed like a rippin’ current—with over $55,000 in cold hard cash and $60,000+ in gear raffled off to some very lucky winners. Conservation has never looked so competitive… or so stylish in wetsuits.
